My story

For almost 10 years, I worked in corporate financial planning and analysis. My job was to help leaders answer simple questions with real numbers. Where are we making money? What happens to cash if sales slow down? Should we raise prices?

Big companies have whole teams for this. Most small businesses have none. The owner gets a P&L from the bookkeeper, a tax return from the CPA, and a gut feeling about everything in between.

That gap is why I started Higher Ground Strategy. Owners of $500K to $10M businesses make decisions every week that would benefit from the same thinking. They just need it without the jargon or the big-firm bill.

I'm based in San Diego and work with owners nationwide over Zoom. If you're local, I'm happy to meet in person.

I respect what it takes to build a business: the risk you carry, the people who count on you, and the work nobody sees. My role isn't to second-guess that experience. It's to put useful financial thinking beside it, so the next decision feels less like a gamble.

Trust starts with being straight with you. I'll explain what the numbers show, where we're making assumptions, and what we still need to understand. If a decision needs your CPA's input or a specialist's advice, I'll say so.
